#drift Mind Control reminds you what it’s all about…if you watch it. #fun

This video about the drift team, Mind-Control, reminds me about why I got into enjoying cars in the first place. The sheer fun of it all. Sometimes we get so caught up in ourselves in motorsport, I feel like people just forget what should all really be about. Going fast and having fun.

For most ‘ADHD-Smartphone-dependent-venti-coffee-drinking- give it to me now’ internet users, you’re probably not going to take the time to watch a 14 minute video in Japanese.

You should though. You really should.

|Video| Formula D still doesn’t make sense to me. #drift

This. This video here shows why Formula D’s scoring makes no sense.

I mean it does as far as I understand that it’s a drifting competition and that’s it an exhibition. Still, I have never understood if there was any consistency ever in Formula D’s scoring system. At all. Ever.

I get it. It’s a popularity contest. Still, I’ve always wished that Formula D cars just had a Driftbox installed, and this would fix a lot of their problems. At least with a Driftbox installed, drivers are just playing to the meter rather than playing to the favorites of the judges.

*Yep, I’m ranting. Deal.*

|Video| Final Bout – Keep #Drifting Fun

I don’t drift myself, but I always enjoy going to watch them at our local tracks. They also seem to have so much fun, which really is the point of all motorsport, right? #keepmotorsportfun

This Final Bout event looked like a total blast! USA International Raceway in Shawano, Wisconsin looks like a badass track. I wonder if they can run karts there…

|Video| Amazing! – Armless drifter steers with feet

Bartek Ostałowski has officially impressed the bejeezus out of me. Having lost the use of his arms, Bartek drifts using his feet, and shifts with his shoulder. His car control is amazing. It’s really got to be seen to be believed.

Massive respect here. It shows that you can get anything done if you want it bad enough. This guy drifts with no arms. What’s your excuse?
