So as predicted, Ferrari has followed suit with the tapered ‘duckbilled’ nose for their 2012 car. The pressfeeds had been flooded with leaked news from the Scuderia that the car would be ‘ugly, but fast’.
So now we have two opposing design stances from two of the top four teams. Mclaren believe that a smoothed (and much prettier) nose design will be the goal to taking advantage of the new aero regulations. Clearly, Ferrari think the opposite.
I’m excited to see what Mercedes and Red Bull have to say about these in their new cars.
