Mad Mike is one of those drifters, who I absolutely love his style.
Take one quad-rotor FD3S, a super winding road, with some slow-motion shots and you have all of the pieces for a super fun video. No words. Just beautiful noise.
I’d love to do something like this. Thanks to Speedhunters for the original find.
I honestly cannot believe this. I can count the people on one hand that I know who would catch the car on fire, keep trying to start it, then catch HIMSELF on fire…before posting the video on Youtube.
Some people’s kids, I guess. At least it gives us something interesting to watch. *Facepalm*
Just because I’m in love with women who have car control, everyone gets to see another Sumika Kubokawa video.
I wanted to make up with all of the past/upcoming Formula 1 posts, with something else epic of the drift car variety. Team Mouse is a well known AE86 Japanese drift team, who are epic at multi-car tandem passes.
You don’t need to hear much from me. The video is much more awesome.
I honestly have no idea how Maiham-Media make these videos be so impactful, but once I saw the first ten seconds, I knew I had to share it with you.
The street-life of tuning cars is something that I’ve always been interested in. It has to have the right atmosphere of people in order to work right, but if you can get the right group together you can create magic on the streets.
There is something serene about this S14 drifting on an open track. Thanks to Casey from Shirtstuckedin for taking this picture.
I didn’t. Did you? No? Good!
Don’t want to be caught lying.
You can’t watch this video and not like it. It’s impossible. Can’t be done.
I’ve seen quite a few hillclimb videos, and this one definately ranks in my top five. Yves Faber taking on the European Hill Race Eschdorf.
Getting it done, sir. Getting it done.
…and a reminder that I really need to improve my driving. Watch this…
Massive credit to Justin Shreeve for creating this video down at Formula D Long Beach. The shots mixed with the epic music make for a great teaser trailer.
…actually a few days ago, but I just got ahold of it today.
Drift Union is one of the only ‘local’ drift teams that my buddies keep tabs on. Not only do they know how to have a complete blast as a team, but the way their cars have evolved over the last few years has been pretty sweet.
They’ve adopted the nickname ‘Team Purple’ among some of my friends, just because of the unique color combo on the three car group. Go team, go. Also, it’s sweet to see some shots of my local karting track, PGP Motorsports park in this video.
Check out Drift Union on their blog here.
I’m thinking yes, the more I think about it, and I’m thinking about it a lot. What are your thoughts?
Thanks to Speedhunters for these pictures. We will be following this LS1 Miata as it ‘crab-walks’ it ways through the 2012 FD Season. Super exciting!
So I haven’t really been on the bandwagon of excitement for the recently released Toyota FT-86/ Subaru BRZ. For a car that had been in concept for almost six years, I felt that the sparkle had faded when it finally did reach production. Maybe I am just a bit jaded though.
I mean, how many concept cars do we know of that haven’t even made it close to the production line? So I guess we should be counting our blessings that the automotive market has something new and rear wheel drive to get excited over.
So that all being said, what would make me excited to look at this car?
Bam. Enter the Formula-D competition version of the Scion FRS. It’s claimed to have 600hp, developed with the help of Cosworth and a few other big names.
Maybe it’s the styling livery, or maybe it’s the GT Wing, but I like this one. What do you guys think?
…join em! This s2000 driver decides to take on his grip run amongst a bunch of drifters.
I’d either want to call this video ‘S2000 Attack!’ or ‘Why snap-oversteer is only funny when you’re watching.’
You’ve got to love Japan for this! Intense dog-fight! The best part is in the last five seconds…
That’s right I said it. SW20 Drift Video.
You rarely see mid-engine cars on the drift course, and they’re backwards when you do. I know this video is from 2007, but that normally means that most people haven’t seen it for a while.
Kyoko: Winter Mode complete.
I never thought of the winter season, as an ‘off-season’. Rather, it was just a season where everything was just really cold. Although the summer racing season is over, it doesn’t mean that you can’t still be a car guy during the winter.
Here are just a few ideas, I came up with on the fly:
Still a great video, no matter how you slice it.
This video also reminds us that we all need to work on our driving a lot more, if anyone is going to be a talent like this guy.
Found this photo at random during my lunchbreak.
Taken in the classic JDM drift-parking lot, I don’t know much about it. I do know however, I love it. (In a way that I’m apart ashamed of.)
You can tell that someone took Toyota Chaser headlights and fixed them to the front, which only the Japanese would think to do. Can anyone help me do some research and find out more about this wagon?
Anyone know any more about it?
Thanks to Speedhunters for the find. Honestly, I need to say very little. Just take a look at the video. Just the sound alone makes me want to faint from joy.
